They may also have an emotional letdown after their own home game against UConn on Wednesday. Didn't one of their other players also sit out the Creighton game?

It does but does that matter?

1. We aren't getting an at large bid, so the quality doesn't matter at this point.

2. It still counts as a Quad 1 win, there isn't an asterisk that goes next to it. If we were in at large consideration, maybe the committee would mention that but not sure it would weigh super heavily. Could be wrong tho.

At this point it would be great to win, just to get out of the 8/9 game for a slightly better shot at a miracle BE run.

However, if we beat Butler and put a beat down on a full strength Marquette team and then managed 2 wins in the BET…….

….it would look a little better than doing the same thing but against a short handed Marquette team.
