You should apologize to Townsend for that comparison.

Oakland played very well. Smart .

They abused Lazar multiple times because he can't guard a cold.
    Not shocked but disappointed .

Green, Ciani, Lazar, and Swain all need about 10-20 pounds of more muscle.
Forget about Houston, BE frontlines will be licking their chops when they see "Frosh of the week" Lazar getting the ball in the paint.

X will have some good wins, some crummy losses .

    Tonight was a poor loss.

Didn’t get to see the game tonight. Doesn’t appear I missed much. It is going to be an up and down year. Wouldn’t surprise me if we put together a solid showing vs Houston before laying an egg vs Delaware.
So you didn’t watch the game and make a comment like that?

The guy had 19/10 against Illinois and 17/9 against Ohio state. Jason Carter got offered (no offense to Carter) because Steele is an idiot.

Agree that it’s a bad loss from an overall program perspective. Sean will also use it as a good teaching opportunity.

In the post game interview on the radio, he said Des has lost confidence in his shot and they’ll need to work on that.

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

He also said something very interesting and refreshing in the post-game presser as well.

He said the staff had been thinking of implementing the post trap since the summer and never did. Sean took the blame for the loss because of it. Completely owned it. And then he said "we didn't put it in, and he gave us our medicine." Coach accountability is important to get better as well.

Own the mistake, move on, get better for it. Something completely lost on the Tin Man (yes, I'm still bitter).

I expect us to be much better against Houston, mainly because Sean is an excellent coach. We may not win, but we'll be better.

X needs to improve the interior defense, or conference play will not be kind. I thought X played timid the last 4 minutes. Kudos to Oakland as they played well and are well coached.

I thought X was going to win when Claude and crew started driving into the zone and either made a layup or got fouled and made 2 from stripe.
Last 4 minute war, Oakland delivered and X wilted. Pressure was too big for these X men. Miller made mistakes. Frosh felt less and less confident.

I do think Swain did have a very solid game.
Lazar was just too weak and had no confidence in any defense or offense.

What is the solution to our post defense other than Abou ?

X will be better but there will be these lumpy losses.

Because Jason Carter doesn’t belong in the same breath as him.

This wasn’t a fluke game like Big Deli. The dude is legit.
