I should also add Villanova's 22-game winning streak against DePaul is in jeopardy. Big East record is 23 (Syracuse against Seton Hall and UConn against BC).

DePaul is getting absolutely hosed by the refs at home vs Nova.
And of course Charge O’Connell is on the crew

DePaul prevails at home and breaks the 22-game losing streak to Villanova which dates back to 2008.

I think a number of Villanova streaks might end this year. DePaul is one of 2 in the last couple days

So refreshing to see Nova struggle. You don't lose a HOF coach and not see a set back of some type. When and IF Moore returns and is anywhere close to the player he was, Nova will be a tough out come tourney time. It may be too late for an auto bid for them. Also saw last night that Whitmore was projected to be a late first round pick and I think his stock is only going to go up. Dude can ball. I think they lose quite a bit this year and could also be rebuilding next year

In most mock drafts, I have seen whitmore go in the lottery. The guy is built like he is 25, and an athletic freak.

In regards to Moore, I think it’s with most guys that have that kind of injury. Physically ready to go but mentally there is a big hurdle to overcome.

I don’t want nova to plummet because it’s good for the league for them to be good. I have a feeling they made a mistake with this hire. There’s enough talent to be a tourney team even without Moore, and as of now it doesn’t look like they are going to sniff it. I haven’t heard the guy speak, but from a product on the court standpoint, I’m getting Steele vibes

UConn's ascendance is timely for the league given Nova's demise.

    And Villanova is definitely demised.
Losing to DePaul anywhere is a kiss of death.
The more I think about this, why did Villanova, I mean VILLANOVA, arguably a Blue Blood, rush to hire a guy who was a coach at Fordham for only one year?? He’s not even a Nova grad but went to Lehigh? I can only think that Wright must have been the deciding factor, but we saw how that worked out with Mack & Steele.
It just seems like Nova could have been picking from a prime field rather than a guy who never coached a post season game at a lousy basketball school.

Congratulations to Villanova on finding their Travis Steele. After a rough non-conference and injuries, I assumed they would right the ship and make a run in Big East play, just because their name and talent is still Villanova. Even a new coach could steer that ship to a bid. Maybe not.
