What's scary is that it was 28 at halftime. Butler did put up a better effort in the 2nd half, but man did they get smoked in the opening 20 minutes.

What’s the difference between watching DePaul and Georgetown vs AAU? Nothing! Except coaching may be better in AAU…

It’s just simply amazing how these programs continue to be so awful. There is zero excuse with the amount of high school talent in dc and Chicago for this absurd mediocrity year over year

It’s funny listening to the mental gymnastics that the play by play and color guy have had to do to explain how bad Georgetown is coached. Excuse after excuse… no, Ewing just can’t coach.

Also wahab should be an absolute stud at his size and he’s just a dude. The guy is massive and has no clue how to use it

They stuck with John Thompson too long, they stuck with JTIII too long, and they will stick with Ewing for too long.

The sad thing, if they could get past the politics and history, a really good coach could resurrect it there. And it would draw some really good names if they actually opened it up outside of GTown legacy.

To your last point, Wahab is an interesting case. Was very skilled as a freshman. Helped GU to BE championship during Sophomore year, but left after. Strange.

Didn’t do well at Maryland under Turgeon which is not a surprise. The dude has not progressed much since his freshman/sophomore year. Coaching or other?

I have no idea obviously but to me it looks like coaching because Fundamentally he is terrible; brings the ball down constantly so the guards can slap at it, no real post moves, has trouble passing out of post. Just weird. I agree that as a freshman and certainly as a soph I thought this guy is going to be a freaking problem the next couple of years, but nope just a guy. I feel bad for guys like that who have all the untapped potential in the world but the coaching they receive is such a disservice.
