I don't think the Dems are Angels. I think the base of The Right has gone completely batshit in the last six years, and it appears to be getting worse. For instance, six years ago there really weren't as batshit as you on the right. It just wasn't how right-leaning people were. Now it's kind of the norm. Now I don't expect you to understand that, but I'm hoping some of the other somewhat sane people on Team Red will.

Well, there's continuing to insist that the election was stolen when it wasn't, and then intentionally trying to disrupt the process of getting it certified, which included what we saw on Jan 6th. We hadn't really seen anything like that before. We've seen people on the left cry about losing, but that was The Left. The Right went from not having that as their MO to taking it to an historic extreme.

They've tried to chase off others on The Right who did nothing more other than accept the reality that the election was legitimate. That's a problem. Branding someone as a RINO simply because they acknowledged reality. Republicans would never crucify their own, and they especially wouldn't do it for simply acknowledging something factual. Now it's as if that if they don't like the facts, then they simply choose to dismiss them, and anyone who doesn't dismiss reality isn't loyal and is tossed aside. That's new. The Right never did that before.

There's candidates like Hershel Walker, and people who are actually in office like Marjorie Taylor Green. No GOP candidate has ever been that abrasive and that delusional EVER. At least not until six years ago. That simply wasn't who The Right was.

And now denying the election has actually become a platform. People are running on the premise that if elected, they will fight to overturn future elections if they don't like who wins. You just never saw anything like that before on The Right.

They don't like the FBI. Of all the organizations to suddenly turn against. That was never the case before.

Same with the Justice Department. The previous party of law and order seems to now be the party of lashing out against any sort of checks and balances.

The Right is different. It has created it's own reality that doesn't match up with ACTUAL reality. What's shocking is that they themselves can't see that. Or, maybe they can and choose not to. Or, maybe that's just human nature and it makes sense that they themselves can't see it. But, The Right is different. This all seemed to really get accelerated under Trump. If he goes to prison, or just goes away, maybe things will start to get back to normal.
