Ah, so you're all in this together, black lives matter, you've made yourself ungovernable, and you're very welcoming to people from other cultures (in several different languages). I think I hit all the notable yard signs!

Yep! Trust me it takes a lot of self control to not get in verbal fights with people on a weekly basis especially after a few drinks.

You should be proud though…actually headed to the st x bookstore right now to get my 5 year old some st x stuff for Christmas. Getting indoctrinated early.

Are you saying people who are sick should not get tested? Why exactly?

Or are you saying sick people should of course be tested, however, there is some large amount of healthy people that are being forced to be tested for work or something and coming up positive without symptoms and they shouldn't have to be tested?

I just don't get why as an individual and as a society we wouldn't want to know if someone had COVID. Hell before COVID I got flu tests when I was really sick and thought I had the flu. There are treatments people can get for both COVID and the flu. Why would you not want to know and get those?

Very weird stance the stop testing thing, really don't get it.
Sure, I'm happy to. First - and by far foremost - we should not be testing healthy people. We have never done this before, and it only creates "cases". At some point (now) we need to recognize that COVID is not going away, and the only metrics of concern should be hospitalizations and deaths due to COVID. Creating "cases" is far more detrimental than helpful.

My other reason comes from my profession. Rule #1 of data collection: know what decision you are making with data before you collect them. If it's just "nice to know", it's not worth collecting. For example, if you are at high risk, you should know to seek monoclonal antibody treatment or another not-to-be-named therapeutic. In that case, by all means, test. Another example, if it's problematic for you to stay at home (work or other reasons) and have symptoms, then please test. If negative, you can resume doing what you need to.

This approach to testing is what we did with H1N1 over a decade ago. This is not weird at all.

On a related note, we should not be using the PCR test. Detecting RNA fragments is not detecting disease, and if run at a high enough Ct can lead to far more false than real positives. This exacerbates all the problems above.

I thought about another smart-ass mimic response, but instead I'll just point out that your (and xville's) insults are not constructive. If you feel the need for personal attacks instead of responding, just don't respond.

    The CDC is totally incompetent:

The only other possibility is a conspiracy theory.

Too bad it's the wrong St. X! Blue is much better than green (I think that's the color, right?).

Can you give me an example where there is mass testing of healthy people? Beside sports leagues and some (mainly nursing homes) healthcare facilities? I think you are complaining about a problem that doesnt exist.
