Since we talking about immunity, another thing we don’t know is how much T cell memory each person has from the common cold coronavirus and how much protection we can expect, if at all from Covid-19.
A lot of moving parts here and things we will continue to look at (politics and all lol). Think getting the vaccine will serve me just fine regardless.

I like posts that acknowledge what we don’t know. We know so little it confuses me how some people can claim to be right and others who disagree must be wrong. I’m playing it safe and trying to ride down the middle on this. Getting the shots didn’t hurt me at all, and gives a little peace of mind, so why not? (Rhetorical question!)

I agree. It was really tiring hearing how masks being effective was a fact. That and we know that it’s a fact that previously infected persons must get the vaccine. Also, that the states opening early were Neanderthals. Plus Trump rallies but not protests are in fact, superspreaders.
I’m shot up as well. But the science doers here and elsewhere deserve a very healthy serving of crow.

Well, I wasn’t being facetious. I don’t KNOW how much masks help, but it felt like the prudent thing to do, if only to give the grocery store cashier a little peace of mind. Maybe it really helped, but I can’t say for sure. Nobody really can. I played it safe, and didn’t whine about playing it conservatively.
Large groups, for whatever reason, seemed like a VERY bad idea. I didn’t lean one way or the other, or make excuses for anyone. It was just stupid, IMO.

Honestly, don't think that ever was the case. Furthermore, nothing has been proven as "fact". Pharmacies, medical facilities, and a few businesses still require masks to enter. As we learn more, and as science suggests, the infection is more of a threat if the viral load is increased. Again, see Italy in it's early stages of the virus, India, South America, etc. Maybe a few on this board should contact the health professionals/administrators in those countries/areas and tell them that masks don't work at reducing viral load.
At no point, as far as I can remember, did anyone on this board advocate mask wearing outside (running, walking, mowing the lawn, if not in close proximity to other people...rallies, concerts, etc).
On a side note, what news sources do you all (no matter which political party) find reputable? Since we are submitting links without peer review, I'm wondering about the March 2019 discoveries of the coronavirus in sewage samples in Spain, Brazil, etc. Any thoughts?
