Kids are never “bad vectors” of disease, so I would be hesitant to send them back for everyone else’s sake. Might as well wait til fall at this point.

True but a couple things stand out to me:

    1. we still dont knwo that kids wont have some issue due to it down the line. I guess maybe not if it didnt make them sick in the first place? But I don't know.

    2. This is the bigger one to me, we have zero evidence to this point that getting it does anything towards preventing you from getting it again. The hope is you build at least some immunity to it for a period of time. Maybe 3 months, 6, or 12? But again not even that is guaranteed.

But children live with adults. So maybe the kid doesn’t get sick but if they spread it to their parents, we still got a big problem.

Maybe Juice's Swiss source knows what he or she is talking about. Who knows?

Perhaps but the risk outweighs the benefit of a couple weeks of school IMO.

I think the person in that article just wants kids infected, school or no school.

This is a healthcare worker who is needed at work who will be delayed getting back to work if not tested. Can't freaking get one.
Where does your co-worker live? Have they still not been tested? I have had zero problems getting anyone tested at any time for any reason. Typically get results in about 48 hours. I can try to help her if you want me to.

Or....a 13 year old table rouser just doesn't want to go back to school! Bravo! Well done, little slacker!

    That’s awesome!

My wife has a guy on her team who lives in Boston. It took 2 weeks for him to get tested....only to come back “inconclusive”. Tested a couple days later, same result. I didn’t realize that was an option. I clearly don’t know much about this. Anyway, he seems to be getting better, but slowly.

Yea it seems that was which is... unorthodox to say the least. I was more so replying to Juice’s back to school post.
