These are the first four cases within a 100+ square mile range. There is not an issue with hospital bed space. If this is so serious, why not quarantine them at the hospital where they can be cared for and provided for? Sending them home means they can expose others when going to the grocery, etc.

Why did the narrative change from "treated and released" to "quarantined at home"?

Look, I agree we need to slow the spread by "lowering the curve", but there are some strange things going on in the media... I smell a rat.
    Really? You find this confusing?

Firstly, if you are sick, or even if you are NOT, a hospital is the worst place to be. If you don’t need hospital care, go home and stop mingling with the general population. They trust you not to need “armed guards” to do the right thing. “Treated and released” conjures up no biggie, they’re better. NOT the case. Home quarantine means being sensible. Pretty simple, really.

As for the 4 cases in 100 miles, they are the 4 confirmed cases, in a time when almost nobody is actually being tested. We have no idea how many cases it is. It may be 4, or 40 or 400 or more. That’s how it works. Often the symptoms are minimal, until it spreads to Gramma and it kills her and 23 other people in her nursing home.

Sending them home means if they are irresponsible they might harm others. Keeping them at the hospital means they are constantly around countless people already in a compromised state, not to mention the vital healthcare workers we count upon. PLUS, there just plain not be enough room.

Look, it’s complicated, and I’m listening to a lot of very smart and qualified people on this issue. I’m taking the conservative approach for now. That’s me, feel free to be you.

So do you think Italy is in cahoots with the media, and...are locking down their entire country...to hurt Trump's re-election chances??

I'm also a little surprised at some of the nonchalance of people surrounding this. This is not a 2-3 week inconvenience, this is going to be a 4-6 month process (at least).

If they are dumb enough to leave their house then yes they will face a mandatory supervised quarantine. That’s what the idiot was threatened with who decided to go to a father daughter dance after quarantine.

This isn’t hard to understand. It’s not a conspiracy.

Here is a simple reference of why social distancing and self-quarantine is vital to ending this pandemic as safely and quickly as possible:

People continue to congregate with groups and ignore other guidelines are increasing the risks of prolonging this situation and overwhelming the capacity of our healthcare system.

Will they all sue him? He can represent them and get 50% of the settlement.

What people need to realize is that once you have it, you are probably going to be fine, so...

    IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU ANYMORE!
