How has India managed to avoid it for the most part so far? If you want to talk about people living in close proximity, India is the prime example.

Climate maybe? Just a shot in the dark.

Pretty warm and dry over there right now.

Good luck. Keep those hands clean, the face untouched, and the beers coming!

Make sure you get the surgical mask with the straw adapter so it doesn't impact your beer drinking.

The virus actually does relatively well in the heat unlike the flu, so I don't think it has much to do with that factor. So I'm obviously of Indian decent, and I was curious about this too, and decided to ask my Dad what his thoughts were on this (he owns hotels, not a doctor), so take it all with a grain of salt, as it's one person's opinion and not mine but he basically had to say this:

To understand the reason it seems to be controlled in India requires some knowledge about Indian politics. Indian politics are very corrupt, and Prime Minster Modi is not really a shining beacon of what you want out of a leader. In my opinion, I'm sure it's not being reported properly in the first place. The second thing to remember is that though there's incredibly huge urban cities throughout India, a lot of the times of small villages with poor access to water, health, etc. do still exist. I personally don't see the government going into these areas and taking an accurate representation/report of whether these people contracted this virus or not. If I were to assume why it's so controlled in India, I'd say it's just not being reported properly. Though the health care system has improved throughout India, there's still a reason why a lot of Indian people want to migrate to America to practice medicine there. The resources are better in America, it's just simply a fact. Think of all your cousins that have moved over to practice here, etc. I wouldn't think that the Indian government would have the things that America has (speaking of N95 respirators, quarantined hospital areas, enough beds, etc.) in place, and America still dropped the ball on this thing.
