That just seems like an incredibly dumb rule to be honest...

Important one comes Monday @ Scioto/Brookside to qualify for US Open.
I have seen only two great plays: Hamlet and put the ball into the basket

It's kind of absurd that a guy as high on the FedEx Cup list and who has made as many consecutive PGA Tour cuts as Kokrak still has to go to Sectional Qualifying. That being said, what happened to him today? It looked like he didn't play his second 18 according to the PGATour.com site with live scores from qualifying.

He did not play well @ Scioto in his first round and decided he had little chance to qualify and did not play the second round; it's a rather normal procedure for tour players in that situation. scores were much higher @ Scioto than Brookside so a bit jobbed by the draw. I was surprised only 14 spots available with the depth of that field. His WD is even more understandable if he is playing this week in Canada.

Doesn't he get a US Open spot if he either wins or gets a Top 3 finish in the Canadian Open? He parlayed a similar finish at Greenbrier last season into a qualifying spot in the British Open.
