No win, but a nice $360,000 consolation prize.

    And FedEx points.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

    2016-17 PGA Tour

Jason was the only one of the top four with a double and a triple over the four rounds. That triple on the par three did him in. Just a matter of time until that first win.

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

This wasn't an original event on his schedule, but it was nonetheless a great event to get back on track.

Plus, he's saving travel money this week. Short drive from Iriving to Ft. Worth.

I wonder what the average tour player spends on travel, food, hotels, over the course of a season. Got to be a boatload.

Jason has picked right back up where he left off last weekend...and unfortunately I mean the weekend and not the Thursday/Friday rounds. 75 yesterday, and that's poised to be the far superior day for him. He's 8 over through 12 today, landing him all along in last place (by three strokes).

Jason is streaky. 5 shot lead two weeks ago turns into a third place finish. Then last in the field last week. This wee he was 3 over on the front nine yesterday, but battled back to one over by the end of the round. Now he's four under through 5 holes today and in a tie for 14th. He keeps it interesting!

5 under through 6 (just barely missed an eagle putt). Now tied for 10th....just 10 shots behind Dufner who fired a pair of 65s. Yikes.
