Stuff I'll plug that I've watched in the last 6 months:

Veronica Mars - Amazon instant - Just an amazing show. Easily one of the best of the last decade, the writing is incredible and it is a great spiritual successor to Buffy in oh so many ways.

Twin Peaks - As I was 3 when this premiered I never saw it, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Not for everyone. In fact not for most people, but great to check out on Netflix. The movie was absolutely horrible.

Hannibal - Perhaps the best show on TV. Not nearly enough people talking about this amazing show. Season 2 blew EVERYTHING else on television out of the water so far this year. That includes Game of Thrones, Mad Men, etc.

The Leftovers - I really enjoyed season 1. I don't expect them to ever answer the mystery of the disappearance, but it is a great look at grief and depression. I dont think you could binge watch this show. It is wayyyy too heavy.

Currently going through the X Files on Netflix as I've never seen it before. It feels like the episodes are either Insanely good television or horrible beyond belief. I'm only in S2 so hopefully it evens out toward the former more.

I was a huge Veronica Mars fan when it was on. I considered it a guilty pleasure show because I don't think a grown ass man should watch a show based in high school, but I did find it highly entertaining. I even went to the movie, and it was packed full of people who were grown ass people who got hooked on Veronica Mars. It was a fun movie that was very heavy on references. Good stuff if you've seen the whole series.

Kristen Bell is at the top of my 'list'. I will watch anything if she's in it.

Recently got into The Blacklist season 1 per the instance of my girlfriend. Was pretty apprehensive about watching it, I'm typically an HBO/AMC snob. But it is actually a pretty entertaining show with some interesting twist.
Mom and Papa told me "Son, you gotta go to school; only way to make the fam'ly proud."
I paid no attention, left my books at home, rather play my music real loud.

I generally enjoy Blacklist. With the proliferation of cable and digital content with far less regulation, it has an uphill battle ahead of it. Frankly I don't think it's particularly competitive with the top tier of cable faire. But it's pretty good for network TV.

I came across a CD of the soundtrack for the TV series a couple months ago. It's got that kinda mysterious, eerie, melancholy sound. Some jazz too. If I remember correctly it's almost exclusively instrumental. Definitely music on the odd side, but anyone who considers themselves an audiophile should have a copy.

Oh its so much more than a teeny bopper high school show. Much like Buffy in that sense. The pop culture references are great, and its pretty dark considering it aired on UPN.

Yup it is a very interesting and very good soundtrack. It's immediately the first thing that sticks out about the show.

Love. The. Blacklist. James Spader is superb in anything he does.

I love Spader too. I just don't love the writing. They make the FBI out to look like a bunch of bumbling buffoons. I mean, it's not like they're writing about the Secret Service...(ba-da-ba...).
