"He's a little bit ball-dominant, he needs to have the ball in his hands, and he's not a good shooter." Ball-dominant … isn't that a nice way of calling someone a ball hog? Where is my Jay Bilas Thesaurus?

Orange is the New Black it's a Netflix Exclusive. It's good but no where near the praise it is receiving. Oz was incredible...game changing I'd say. Orange is the New Black is alright but I don't understand all the praise. Personally I think House of Cards was a lot better.

I guess this is sort of old but watched a part of the Sherlock miniseries on Netflix and really liked it. Definitely recommend. The camera work/editing is worthy of the acting and stories.
Any Ricky Gervais fans out there? I'm curious if Derek is worth watching.

Found myself watching some of the original Office this weekend. Forgot how insanely funny it was. I remember hating the American version and Michael Scott initially just because Gervais was brilliant.
I liked Extras a lot too, Derek looks interesting and I'll be checking it out for sure.
I'd recommend The Inbetweeners if you haven't seen it and you're a fan of television from over the pond.

Yup, the new Sherlock with Cumberbatch and Freeman. Absolutely loving it. Watson as a war-junkie ex-army Doc and Sherlock as an unabashed 'functioning sociopath' is more enjoyable than the manic big screen version with Downey Jr and Law, even though I love those two actors.

This (again) isn't 100% on topic, but I'm still watching the Dome, and it's getting worse. The girl doesn't get into much that wades into the sci-fi end of the pool, so I think I'm still watching it because she is. The writing on this show is terrible. There's no suspense. Kids "figuring out" the supernatural always bugs me. The character reactions to things are totally impossible to believe. If I were watching this on my own, I would have quit by now.
The rest of the country seems to not care as much, because it is far and away the #1 show on tv. WTF."Give a toast to my brother, hug your family, and do everything possible to live the life you dream of. God Bless."

Granted #1 in the summer doesn't mean that much. It has almost zero competition from any other series as everything else is reality/game show based.
I only watched Episode 1. I want to watch it...mainly for Dean Norris. But it has quickly gone down on my list of shows to watch. It's too bad also everyone involved seemed awesome. Steven Spielberg is probably my favorite director but he will slap his name on any television show for a pay check, pretty disappointing.

Probably true, but the gross numbers are holding up. I was expecting to see a drop off from week to week. After the week 1 dropoff, it's held pretty steady.
It is amazing the kind of FX they will invest in a tv series these days. The imagery is pretty amazing. Everything else is blah."Give a toast to my brother, hug your family, and do everything possible to live the life you dream of. God Bless."
