Breaking Bad is the best thing I've watched in quite a while. I too missed it until I caught up on Netflix in December (yes...in one month). My ONLY complaint (and I'm stretching here to come up with one) is that started off with a good amount of dark humor but has morphed to mostly just dark now. Probably understandable given the development of the characters, but I do miss the humor.

PS: If you like Aaron Sorkin-written projects (particularly West Wing and/or Sports Night), catch up on Newsroom. Season 1 was very good, albeit preachy at times. I think Season 2 is already blowing it out of the water. The writing is excellent and the acting is stellar.

I'm with you...not so much of a complaint as just kinda missing that. I miss the days of them cooking in the rv and all of that witty banter. Got a bit of that this season in terms of them cooking in houses with the fumigation tents up but for these last 8 episodes the good times are definitely over. Even Hank probably won't have much humor these last 8 episodes with the big revelation from last week.

We'll need a breaking bad thread come August 11....

I think the show is deliberately growing darker to parallel the descent of the lives of the characters, which I think is pretty cool. I also loved the lighter, more humorous side of the show in seasons past, but I remember reading a Vince Gilligan interview where he said he really wanted the course of the show to show the complete transformation of a good guy to a bad guy. I think it's cool how the show has seemingly become darker as Walt's character, and the world around him, sinks further.

But I will say no more because it's not a show you want any spoilers of if you aren't caught up.

Streamed "After the Wedding," thought it was excellent.

I always thought of Tim Watley. The dentist who offended Jerry when he converted to Judaism. Jerry thought he converted for the jokes. I'll never forget the scene where Jerry is in a confessional. "I think he converted for the jokes." "And this offends you as a Jew?" "No...it offends me as a comedian."

"Get me a schtikle of fluoride."

    Cranston is great.

My parents just annihilated all 5 seasons to get caught up in the last month. They are eaten up with all things BB.

Valid point, but for me, episodes with Saul provide just enough humor to get through each season.

I'm curious to see what the Saul spin-off show ends up looking like if it comes to fruition.

Avon Barksde, Stringer Bell, Omar Little, Marlo Stanfield and Snoop disagree. And Clay Davis just said, "sheeeeeeeeeeeeeet."

I love Breaking Bad but just can't agree that it's easily better than The Wire.

I'm actually about to start The Wire, now that I have HBO Go, with Breaking Bad on the short list after that.

Speaking of HBO Go, I only have it until October, as I got four months of HBO free when I started a new Internet service. In the limited time I have it available, are there any shows that you guys recommend? I just finished Rome and my wife and I got her caught up on Game of Thrones. Any other top-notch choices?
