I don't think anyone's going to run on the 2020 election 4 years later unless Trump runs again.

I do wonder if we'll still be wearing masks in '24.

Hopefully the Feds will grant the extension so they can be used. Nice of NBC to interview his future opponent (Fried).....

Yeah I wonder what makes them "expired"? I used an expired one when I tested once. Not sure what made it expired?

Don't know either but I doubt NBC asked that question. :)

I mean I get that there is an expiration date on the box but you wonder has the test really deteriorated that much? Like the tests arent that old.

That's a good question. Probably why the State asked the Feds for an extension on the expiration.

Sadly, I won’t be at all surprised.

This might surprise you but I totally agree. Can’t believe it’s been 3 years in and the Federal government/HHS doesn’t have a better distribution plan. If Florida couldn’t use them at that time where should they go? It was common knowledge the virus was mostly seasonal (before omicron), so why weren’t they redistributed up north? Of course, sounds like the Federal government basically punted in October on testing until the last wave.

My biggest gripe with waste has been with mAbs. How many millions upon millions doses or rendered useless at this point.
Think about the potential lives we lost because the administration didn’t properly advocate for them (maybe not fair on my part). Medical is to blame here as well. Yes I know they were mainly used for the unvaccinated but…

    Post story here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/healt...ff0_story.html

It wasn’t until mid August of this year when the Post wrote a story on the lack of knowledge of mAbs, so the administration sent out Fauci to do damage control. Ironically Fauci basically just said they are a good option and he was surprised they were underutilized. I’m sorry but what?

One of the positives of this thread, most people who post here already knew about mAbs because of praise other posters gave them. IMO this administration has done a very good job promoting the vaccine (minus the we vs them). Unfortunately, they have taken a one size fits all on their messaging and left off the alternatives. You know the part of science that makes it science.

Oh Btw, I get your actual reasoning for posting and agree with that too. Wonder how many other states are in a similar situation and it doesn’t get reported?
