The discussion begins and ends with Speed Racer. Yes, it's showing my age.
Honorable mention to Fat Albert, Simpsons, the Jackson 5 and the Harlem Globetrotters.

I liked the Banana Splits, but I guess it may not qualify as a cartoon though it was on Saturday mornings. I don't think I saw the Jetsons on anyone's list. It was okay, but not one of my top cartoons. I did see The Rockie and Bullwinkle listed show and that also ranks high on my list. Great adult humor in those cartoons that was hidden until I watched it later with my kids.

Say it ain't so.....
Rumors have it that Sesame Street has changed. The Cookie Monster is now the Veggie Monster. Oscar the Grouch doesn't live in a garbage can anymore. He lives in a recycling bin. And to top it off, Burt and Ernie have been taken off because they live together(hence they may be gay).Balls of Steele!!

How about Tom and Jerry? They weren't too bad. One Hanna Barbara cartoon I didn't like was Droopy Dog. Also, no Flintstones? Now that I see it listed, another New School favorite of mine is Bevis and Butthead and the other Mike Judge show King of the Hill.
I am surprised many of my conservative Muskie brothers and sisters didn't list King of the Hill. Hank and Dale seem like characters they could relate to. Just kidding, just kidding.Last edited by vee4xu; 09-03-2008 at 08:45 PM.
