    Mack and Kelsey Swap Jobs

    Is this really happening?

Pat Kelsey is taking Chris Mack’s previous Louisville coaching job and Chris Mack is taking Pat Kelsey’s Charleston job.

    Strange times.

My initial thought is maybe Charleston is set up to be in a job that Mack can do well at for 2-3 years and then a bigger school comes calling? It may be an easier route to a better program than taking a low tier job at a P5 school.

Also, being a famous millionaire in Charleston would probably be a good time. I bet he is already shopping for a dock for his boat.

Well, unless things have changed there, he will be placing it in a slip at a public boat dock. The inner sanctum in Charleston aren’t very receptive to Yankees joining their yacht club.

Kiawah would welcome him. No problemo.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Tough start to the job for Coach Kelsey, every scholarship player has entered the portal.

That's the opposite of a tough start. That team was horrendous.

He did get a former CoC player to join him I saw somewhere earlier, so I'm sure some of the better guys on that team will follow him. I love the Mack hire for College of Charleston, funnily enough there's rumors of them applying for membership in the A10, can't think of a better guy to help with that transition. Plus like everyone mentioned above, Charleston SC is a great place to live when you have money, it'll be a relatively low stress environment at a budding mid-major power.
