Assuming Claude, Swain, and Green return the base roster is vastly better than the one going into this year.

    Mcknight
    Swain
    Claude
    Green
    Free
    Hunter
    Powell
    Lazar
    Gytis

find some other pieces in the portal and we should be easily in the tourney.

Hunter is a huge question mark for next year

Free is a smaller risk, but still a concern

You cant COUNT on those guys. If we are, then cross your fingers and HOPE they are ready to go and stay healthy.

I'd be surprised if Gytis is still here, and as Bleed said, Hunter is a big question mark. I do agree though that even without those two, it feels a whole lot better going into next year at this point.

Get a shooter or two and a legit big man, and X could be in really good shape.

Any college kid in any college sport with a superior skill level is coveted. That means their services have a monetary value . There is however no “ market sheet” valuing their services. The system is new and opaque so they need help in ascertaining and receiving their value .Further, many schools , to avoid direct offers to “pay to play” , forbidden by the NCAA , “ suggested “ a certain payment would be forthcoming once they enrolled . Like any “ oral agreement” a disagreement ensues as to what was said. So today, there are hundreds of athletes who feel “ the deal” has been dishonored. The agents have sprung into action. For a fee, of course. They claim to be able through the “Agent’s Grapevine” to ascertain values and memorialize it in a manner which will be enforceable should the school weasel out.

I have no knowledge of the WVU situation, but they brought in Krissa, and he ended up suspended for several games due to something he did. Hardly a surprise if he didn’t get his full NIL if he didn’t fulfill his part of the deal

No surprises here: Once a player enters the portal, numerous individuals (boosters, coaching staff, administrators) reach out to them. Figures are thrown around, the athlete enrolls, but the promised "deal" isn't honored. Smart athletes/agents should only communicate with one key individual—the person in the collective who writes the checks. This check writer understands what the coach desires.

Also wonder how Huggins impacted that. Donor pays up for Kriisa- loyal to Bob (a lot of the fanbase didn’t want him removed) and once Bob was let go he decides he didn’t want to pay.

Granted once he was let go, Kerr had the option to go elsewhere again.
