Game Thread: Xavier v DePaul University (2/28/2024)

    VS.

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 13-14 overall and 7-9 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the DePaul University Blue Demons, 3-24 overall and 0-16 in the BIG EAST, on Wednesday night at Cintas Center. Xavier graduate student Quincy Olivari, who is second in the BIG EAST in scoring (18.9 ppg.), enters the DePaul game just two points shy of 2,000 for his collegiate career. He scored a career-high 43 points in the first meeting in Chicago on Feb. 3.

Xavier will represent the Cincinnati Lion Tamers and DePaul the Savoy Big 5 in keeping with the BIG EAST's commitment to BE the Change. For the third straight year, the conference is celebrating Black History Month with a partnership with the Black Fives Foundation, whose mission is to honor the pre-NBA history of African Americans in basketball.

Must win games are when you are fighting for post season position. This is more of a must not lose game just to not be the team that lost to DePaul
We've come a long way since my bench seat at the Fieldhouse!

I'm thinking if Ciani was hurt, we will need to play Lazar again.

Getting out rebounded 21-18 at the half. I don’t think I’d like to be in the locker room right about now.
