7-3 win for Xavier in Game 2 of the series. Now 3 games up on Seton Hall for the fourth and final BE playoff spot after the Pirates got a walk-off win against UConn earlier today. Creighton also lost at St. John's on a walk-off hit by the Johnnies to fall into a 6th-place tie with Villanova.
Both Hall and Creighton playing doubleheaders today in advance of rain tomorrow. Xavier still scheduled for a 1 PM finale tomorrow at Butler.

Xavier beats Butler 12-7 for their 11th win in a row against the Bulldogs; X finally sweeps a weekend series. Musketeers now have a pair of weekday games at home against #8 UK on Tuesday and Miami on Wednesday.
X is now 4 games up on both Seton Hall and Villanova for the final BE spot (also 4.5 games up on Creighton); two more wins will effectively clinch said spot. More important will be what happens next weekend at Georgetown; it could be the difference between playing UConn in the opener or playing St. John's in the opener. Those two will likely be the top 2 seeds with UConn holding a tiebreaker should that be needed.
