Didn’t see one started for this year so I thought I’d start one.
It’s early, but uk looks as good as those teams when cal first got there. They don’t even have their 7 footers playing yet.

Gonzaga played a team so bad tonight that Mark Few's kid scored three points.

Wow. UK's Reeves made Olivari look like an reserved, situational shooter tonight. He hits just a few of those launches and they win, but instead he shot them out of it.
We've come a long way since my bench seat at the Fieldhouse!

DJ Wagner's 1 for 12 from the field probably didn't help either.

Who was the genius who scheduled the empire classic in direct competition with nfl Sunday? You got UConn, Indiana, Texas all playing, and schedule it for 1pm on a Sunday. Smart.
College basketball just doesn’t seem to be able to get out of its own way.

Maybe they added Louisville just so they could get a discount on renting out the Garden that weekend.

BYU was up on SE Louisiana 30-4 at one point last night. Final was 105-48. This prompted me to confirm that SE Lou is still DI. Turns out they are actually picked to win the Southland Conference. In other words, there is a 110% chance the southland winner will be in a 16 seed playin game this year.

More likely than not McNeese will win that league. Too bad Will Wade is in the middle of a strong-ass suspension.

Phil Martelli is Michigan's interim head coach. Realizing that made me look up his coaching record today via Wikipedia just out of curiosity. I'm sure all of us who are old enough remember that remarkable team from 20 years ago that went to the Elite Eight after being throttled by Xavier in the A-10 quarterfinals. Making it to the Elite Eight, St. Joe's obviously played 4 NCAA Tournament games that season. Martelli went on to coach 15 more years on Hawk Hill. In those 15 seasons, St. Joe's played exactly 4 more NCAA Tournament games. They were 1-3 in those four games (should have beaten eventual national champions UConn in the first round in 2014).
