My wife does a lot of public speaking and went to Toastmasters decades ago. They will beat those bad habits out of you! People are assigned to count how many times you say umm, or uhh, you know? Point it out to you often enough, and you learn. Once you notice it, it becomes painful.

Thanks! From Cincinnati and liking the family vibe is promising. Noting how Miller has developed guys and gets guys into the NBA is also promising. I love that he wants to play against the best on a regular basis. That says a lot about this young man. He is serious about working and being challenged. Have to love that about a prospect.

Guy must have watched my presentation in high school you know. Think, you know, I hit the 8 mark when class started to count. That one was hard tape to watch with the whole class. Did stop saying you know, you know. Actually I did have one back to back even. Lol
I do give him a slight break because he is interviewing a legend…you know this tho.

I was bigger on the "Um", you know. Once you, um, figure out that some moments of silence are okay, you're golden, you know.

Thanks for sharing noteggs!
Sean did a really nice job in the interview of laying out the meaningfulness of Xavier’s evolution.
It’s kind of crazy that X went from a very small “I think I can” school with a tiny campus and a dangerously gritty little basketball team to now clearly having a program and university that are both nationally recognized and respected and even often discussed positively by the media and others on the outside in the same breath as other nationally respected universities that have very good basketball programs.
It’s a great feeling to know the school you attended over 30 years ago just keeps growing more and more impressive. Having Sean back, just makes the story that much better. I am sooooo looking forward to this coming season!!!
Let’s Go X! Let’s keep getting bigger and better.Last edited by IM4X; 09-16-2022 at 04:09 PM.

GREAT find Eggs!!
The most pertinent thing to me in this interview is Sean talking about the Toughness of the Big East teams and how they played. He knows that in spades.
And that was the thing that the former coach’s teams did not have- as evidenced by their failures in the League. They played more like Tin Men as opposed to Men of Steel(e). Early season vs out of league competition, one thing. Polar opposite when it came to league play.
