It's expensive, as we'd have to hire more cops. Those Dunkin' Donuts aren't going to patrol themselves if 100k cops are taking naps outside school buildings.

It can be both. Nothing at all for 99.99999999% of the times until it’s not and a police department is getting blamed for not executing on a moronic plan. Probably some prevention gains, but these people aren’t moving into fulfilling lives because a cop is outside a school. Churches, parks, movies, mall, still in play. Let’s just fast forward to the metaverse already
