The Will Wade news dropped within the hour - fired with cause at LSU b/c of a Notice Of Allegations that was released earlier in the week. As far as I know, LSU is still going to play in the NCAA Tournament this year.
Show of hands - does this look better now?

Would be better if it say out next to Steele’s name. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

I don’t have anything to support my view here, but I think if Steele is gone then it would have been announced already. I see the NCAA tourney selection as being a crucial retention moment. If we don’t make it, the cut the coach and hire as immediately as possible. Let an interim guy coach the meaningless games.

If Steele coaches the NiT games, then he will stay at least one more year.

We are inside of 24 hours for this situation to peak

Anthony Grant to Florida getting rumblings. That would be a huge blow to VD. Honestly he should just stay at VD. I get he is from Miami and it's the ACC but VD is a good program with great support. They will be top 25 pre season too.

Wow! Coaches may want to think twice before they accept a bid to the SEC Tournament.

But still, going to an archrival after you had a subpar season at Florida? Something smells awfully weird about this.
I think Mike White just wanted to reset his clock. He'd done well there, but it was 'Round of 32' well and not Final Four well like they were used to before. He may have had one or two more years at Florida. Moving to Georgia probably gives him at least four more years, and it's not like he took a pay cut or anything.

I really liked Frank. He was so very nice to us that one game he coached against us in Cincinnati at Riverfront Coliseum. He wasn't as nice in Manhattan or SLC, but the kindness he showed in Cincinnati really just endeared him to me forever.
