Heard on the radio earlier this week that Vanderbilt’s baseball team is experimenting with the players wearing Apple Watches as a way to combat sign stealing. Apparently in college baseball the pitching coach calls all the pitches (did not know that). By using the Apple Watches, the other team can’t try to steal the pitch call. Interesting idea.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkGolf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

The Muskies are down 9-1 in the 4th inning at NKU. Considering the winless Muskies are facing a southern road trip that will take them on a tour of South Carolina (including stops to see paulxu in Sparkletown and to recent national champs South Carolina and Coastal Carolina), this would have been a nice game to win.

I don't think the Reds will be playing for a while.
Maybe they could bring some of their pitchers and put them in an X uniform.
Trust me...no one down here would know the difference....he went up late, and I was already up there.

I think mrspaulxu gets credit for the W.
We went to the game, met many Xavier families there to watch their sons play...from many different places.
Told a few of them that we were there to break the streak and bring one home...and she did!
Really strange play. 7th inning 1 out, they've got a man on. Ball's hit and barely grazes an ump standing behind the pitcher.
We turn the double play...but, BOTH guys are declared safe because ball hit the ump. Never heard of that. They went on to score a couple and take the lead.
Glad we came back....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Here's the rule:
"If the field umpire, who is positioned on the infield side (always the second base umpire in a four-man crew) in front of the infielders is hit by a ground ball that is not deflected, the ball is dead. The batter is awarded first base and is credited with a hit. Any runner on base advances, only if forced."2023 Sweet 16
