    Some numbers of note:

    UConn - RPI 51, SOS 189 (noncon SOS 230)
    Creighton - RPI 93, SOS 203 (noncon SOS 262)
    Xavier - RPI 63, SOS 69 (noncon SOS 45)
    Georgetown - RPI 124, SOS 211 (noncon SOS 261)

    Missing the cut:
    Villanova - RPI 174, SOS 148 (noncon SOS 190)
    St. John's - RPI 219, SOS 178 (noncon SOS 244)
Seton Hall - RPI 189, SOS 78 (noncon SOS 71)
    Butler - RPI 239, SOS 174 (noncon SOS 235)

Seton Hall was the only other team that even tried to schedule like a team fighting for an at-large bid. Everyone else went to the bakery.

UConn was a team that a couple of weeks ago looked like they might have an outside shot at hosting a regional. Now they look like a team that's in trouble if they pull a two-and-out this weekend.

Congrats to Luke Franzoni - co-Big East Player of the Year.. He shared the award with Creighton's Alan Roden. Jack Lynch and Jared Cushing were also 1st team-All BE; Jeff Holtz and Jack Housinger were 2nd team-All BE.

As expected, game times have been adjusted b/c of weather tomorrow:

Georgetown-UConn will now start at 10:30 AM
Xavier-Creighton will not start at 2:30 PM

Well I would rather play at 2:30 vs 10:30 am. I always thought basketball teams came out flat at noon tip-off. This will be a different dimension. Guess if golfers can do it so can baseball.

UConn is not messing with the Hoyas today. Up 3-0 top 6. Looking forward to X getting out there and messing up the Jays in a bit!

I see that the Reds are in a rain delay. I assume that is also bad news for the start of Xavier and Creighton.

They were going to try a 4 PM first pitch today, but there just wasn't enough of a window to get the game in before severe stuff moves in later tonight. Tomorrow's also looking like off and on rain, but probably not a thunderstorm.
