Well, I am totally not clear on what kind of National Championship it is and who exactly gave out the award. Doesn't different entities proclaim prep National Champions?
Putnam Science Academy does have a solid tradition, and 38-0 is 38-0. However, the only 2021-22 schedule I could find did not include the usual Prep School powerhouses such as Montverde, IMG, La Lumiere etc.
In fact, they're not in the USA Today prep poll.

Regardless, Claude is a very impressive recruit.

I guess the winner here is considered the National Champions.

It looks like Claude and Putnam Academy have a legit claim as National Champions. Their tournament had a field of 16 teams, and there were some big time programs competing. Putnam took care of Sunrise Christian Academy easily, knocking them out of a chance at the Championship. Sunrise spent a long stretch at the top of the USA Today Super 25. They feature TWO 5 Star 2022's and several more 4 Stars. I believe Putnam was their 1st loss of the season. They got upset for a 2nd time at the Geico event.
Anyway, it appears Putnam managed to avoid most of the stiffest competition because Montverde, Link, Hargrave were in the field and they didn't face them.
Claude was the named the tourney MVP, so that should mean he put up some winning numbers vs the SunriseAcademy studs. We may snagged a good one folks!Last edited by Xuperman; 05-16-2022 at 12:21 PM.
