You wouldn't think so, but consider the case of Coastal Carolina. Their investment in football made no sense to me a decade ago. Turns out, it was a good decision.
Some of these A-Sun teams may have similar experiences a decade on.
Of that group, my money would be on Valdosta State, by the way.

On another basketball note,
I'm curious to see if over time the schools that don't play football start to question why they're in a 16/17 school league that is completely bloated, and are routinely only getting one team to the NCAA Tournament that ends up on the 14 line or lower.
