Reading the tea leaves, I dont think we should expect to see ramsey on the floor this year if ever unfortunately.

Lets talk Jason Carter - a favorite punching bag on this board. Sure, he misses a few buckets he probably should've made, but the dude flat out hustles all the time. Many of the things he does shows up in the stat line, but others don't. Here are a few of his stats to date:
* he leads the team in rebounds - both offensive and defensive rebounds - and averages 2.2 more rebounds than Zach Freemantle
* at 90% he leads the team in FT%
* he has the lowest number of turnovers per 40 minutes of play
* he's 2nd on the team in steal %
* he leads the team in both offensive and defensive ratings per 100 possessions
* he leads the team in defensive win share, and is 2nd in overall win share per 40 minutes

Civil law overrides any rules and regulations an organization like the BE Conference may put out there, and the civil laws differ from state to state and even county to county. Have you watched any SEC football games this year? Stadiums have 30,000+ fans in them. Ohio stadiums might have 300. I saw recently where some teams at schools located in New Mexico have temporarily moved their practices and games to Phoenix because of more lax regulations in Arizona.
The Hamilton County health department mandates have to change before the 14 day limit goes away, and they won’t change until the Ohio mandates change. No matter what the BE might say, Xavier still can’t violate the mandates in Ohio and Hamilton Co.

No I get that. I wasnt talking about the BE being less strict but MORE strict. I am surprised that they dont have a league rule that basically meets the strictest health department rule for whichever school has the strictest. Or, the CDC actually didnt really change their recommendations. They still recommend 14 days and their site has been update but still shows that. I will be surprised if the BE does anything less than that even if lets say Villanova's local health dept only requires 7 days.
I guess what I am getting at is, surely the BE has their own policy right? I get it deosnt usurp local and state health dept policies but I would still think the BE has a general policy that might be even stricter than one school's health dept policy.
I just thought all leagues would have their own policies that the schools had to agree on so that 1. they are on even footing and 2. each school doesnt feel like they are getting potentially exposed by a team that comes from a more lax state etc.
That make sense?"I’m willing to sacrifice everything for this team. I’m going to dive for every loose ball, close out harder on every shot, block out for every rebound. I’m going to play harder than I’ve ever played. And I need you all to follow me." -MB '17

I think some of the Carter hate is because he's capable of more...he tore us up when he played at OU, so he should be able to score at will against the TTechs and Toledos of the world. I feel like he's snake bitten around the rim at times, and would be great for his confidence if they'd start to fall, because he has some decent moves down low.
He also makes a lot of winning plays for us. So many times when a new guy gets stuck and picks up his dribble, or is in the wrong spot, Carter is quick to the ball to bail them out, always boxing out his guy, hitting the floor for loose balls, etc etc Add in his rebounding and FT percentage, he's about as strong of a glue guy as you could ask for, especially from a senior.

What he did at OU thought cant hold any weight here. He was their go to guy. The offense ran through him. He is asked to be much more of a glue guy do a little of everything here. HE isnt going to score here like he did there.
Carter has been money this year really. Much better than I expected actually. He has been by far our best rebounder and best FT shooter. He seems to have a missed bunny every game but other than that he really has finished pretty well this year."I’m willing to sacrifice everything for this team. I’m going to dive for every loose ball, close out harder on every shot, block out for every rebound. I’m going to play harder than I’ve ever played. And I need you all to follow me." -MB '17

Carter has been huge for this team. So far he has been the only player on the team where when he is on the bench- the team is definitely playing worse.

How many power conference teams would love to have their 4th or 5th scoring option pull in 8 points and 10 rebounds?
The other amazing thing I noticed today is 2 points per game by Carter and 2 rebounds per game by Freemantle and we would have 2 players averaging a double double! I can't remember (and am too lazy to research) when the last time we had two players that close.
