Prayers for my wife in hospice

At the end of August my wife started having some incidents due to vision changes on her left side and we noticed her memory was changing. The doctor said to get her a cat-scan right away and before we knew it she was being diagnosed with a form of brain cancer called glioblastoma.

They told us they wanted to learn more, so they did a craniotomy, only then to tell us they couldn't remove the tumors and she's going to die anywhere from days to a few months. Turns out there is no cure for glioblastoma, and even if they could have removed the tumors she would get 18 months of life at the most. She has three large tumors right near her brain stem, so any removal would cause more damage. In hindsight, they should have just told us she was going to die and not bothered with the operation or hospital stay, as the outcome isn't going to change, only give us debt.

So after two weeks in the hospital and two weeks in a nursing home, she's now in home hospice care. I'm devastated, as our whole world is upside down. She's young and never bothered to do a will or anything like that, which yes, that's stupid. Our insurance is not the best and if I can't get the medical bills taken care of I could be forced to sell our house, which I really would rather not do.

Some friends set up a GoFundMe. Times are tight for everyone but if you think you could contribute, it would be greatly appreciated. No worries if you can not, andf we'll gladly accept spiritual support. We've had two pastors out to visit and friends saying prayers daily. It's about the best comfort I could ask for right now.

Best wishes to you and your wife and families. So terrible to endure this at such a young age.

I am not able to contribute monetarily, but I will offer up prayers for you and your family.

    Such a tragedy.
