I meant to reply to your previous post on this but got sidetracked... FWIW your doctor can now order antibody testing through LabCorp or Quest labs if he/she desires it to be done. The accuracy and value of this test remains in question but it’s probably accurate. It sounds like you had it, and I have seen other test results that are being contact traced to January and February. If you do end up getting tested and it is positive you may receive a call from the health department for tracing, but it sounds like you have your important dates logged regardless.

I calculated a 51% increase in new cases in Georgia from 4/24-5/11. It is a worthless statistic as many have already covered so far... NBC cherry picking stats is either sensationalism or incompetence. On this case it’s both, as they didn’t even succeed at basic math.

It is intentionally and grossly misleading, and I wish I was more surprised. We have gone from 900 new cases a day, to a dozen or fewer. But they still paint the most negative picture possible.
Could that change? Absolutely! But don’t twist the truth to scare people and get ratings.Last edited by xu82; 05-12-2020 at 10:12 PM.

Three new cases today. Seriously, according to the state. Can they be believed? Not sure, but it can’t be a TOTAL fabrication. It has to be somewhat close.
I don’t trust our Governor, but he can’t tell me the moon is made of cheese. You can only twist things so much. Might we ramp back up? Of course! Probably will to some extent.
EDIT: By the end of the day they were reporting 21 new confirmed cases. Still, a FAR cry from 900+!Last edited by xu82; 05-12-2020 at 11:09 PM.

Yea I think the data points on that graph are incorrect for whatever reason. I typically like the Johns Hopkins reports on this website....
Here is a link from a news site that has new counts today over 800... which is still not terrible or increasing rate.
“ The Georgia Department of Health announced new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. As of 7 p.m., there are 34,848 confirmed cases of the virus and 1,494 deaths reported. This is up from the 34,002 confirmed cases and 1,444 deaths that they announced on Monday evening.”
