    Ranking the BE AD Departments

    #3. No surprise. Thought we would actually land at 2.

    In a rough season that is following a rough season, know that we’re well positioned for the future.

    I still believe Steele will figure this out, and I do understand that resources really only matter and become effective with a successful coaching staff.

    With Greg getting that new role- sure would be tough to get rid of him as the AD. (If Travis got fired I assume he would be on the hot seat, isn't that typically how it goes for AD/high level coaches?) I guess he could "step down" and keep the same role he is in.

    Greg's basketball hires as a D-1 AD have been so good so far...who would question him?

    * Louis Orr .454 winning percentage (the WORST winning pct of BG's last 7 MBB coaches)
    * Jennifer Roos .487
    * Brian Neal .415 (great guy, literally drove the program directly off of a cliff)

    Now we have Mel Moore (jury is obviously very much still out) and Travis Steele.

    Worth noting, his one football hire at BGSU was Dave Clawson. Dave's winning pct was .508 (woo hoo!), however, that was worse than the previous 3 coaches, and worse than the one that followed.

    You could make a case this is the best argument there was for promoting Steele.

    Geez, I hope that's not actually one of the better reasons for promoting Steele. If it is, then our athletic department is kind of a dumpster fire.

    It's definitely not, I'm just having fun with it. Although who knows, maybe Louis Orr can come in and right the ship!

    Remember the rumors that The Desert Raccoon would come back, but more or less just needed an offer without an interview? X didnt take him up on it because of all the FBI investigations that were ongoing at that time. Well that has more or less blown over, and I sit here dreaming of what could have been a happy reunion.

    Well, while not a dumpster fire, the MBB and WBB are a combined 3-13 in Big East Play, and while hopefully WBB is going to get better under the new coach, all signs point to MBB being significantly worse next year. So...there is that.

    I've been quoted without context. FAKE NEWS!!! LOL.

    But did you also notice our men's soccer team's complete collapse? Our baseball team failing to win the Big East Tournament for the first time ever (well, the first time ever when we actually played in it)? Troubling signs (no, I am not serious).

    No doubt, the influx of cash and freshmen enrollees from soccer and baseball success should be impressive.
