    Megan Harkey

Mel just signed a 6'6" girl. Anybody know anything about her? Even if she's a project, can't teach that height.

BTW, Mel is doing work. So refreshing.

EDIT - It's Megan Harkey. IDK how to edit thread titles though

She looks pretty polished in certain aspects.

Shooting from lots of spots on the floor seems to be strong.

Averaged 9 and 9 last year. Seems like a good, high reward, pick up by Mel

If she's 6'7" and averaging 9 and 9 in high school, she's a major project. There wasn't anyone within a foot of her height in most of those highlights.

But as you say, you definitely can't teach that height! So potential is there.

She's 6'6", but she's only shot up to that height in past year or two. Her experience at her size is still pretty new. I'd say it was a great pickup.

If you watch all three videos, she does face someone who is about her size, and she's doing fine scoring against them. But even with the shorter competitors, it's still a challenge to hit a shot from some of the spots she's hitting them when someone is up guarding you. She looks really comfortable both in the post and at mid-range while in traffic.

If she was a superstar now she'd be going to a different program, but I think this is someone to build around.

Playing with better players, and against better players, along with coaching ; this girl may turn into a great find.

Megan has played in 22 games so far and scored a total of 37 points over two seasons. Fair to say she turned out to be a project. Hopefully the project is about to turn into a really productive player for the rest of her career. She scored 11 against Butler, so there's been at least one flash.

i just met her at Dick's Sporting Outlet at Kenwood mall and delightful young lady.. I will go to some games as a result. I am 6'2 and she towered over me. I am 67 and just bought a glow basketball for $15(sticker 60) and held it in the picture. I wish we staged a fake jump ball!!
