    ESPN: Mid-Major Predictions

    Link

We continue by looking at the best of the "mid-major" conferences, a term that once again looks like a moving target within the college hoops sphere.

Of note to patrons here, VCU is the consensus winner of the A-10.

East Tennessee State is for real.

Saying that Gonzaga and Utah State are going to be good is kind of like saying July is going to be hot. Why even forecast that?

Not mentioned, but also very good are New Mexico State and Wofford. I actually wouldn't be surprised if the SoCon ended up with two teams in the NCAA Tournament this year. Something that kind of sucks for New Mexico State is that one of their best players just got hurt in practice, and is out for eight weeks, and if you're not in a major conference then November and December is when you have to win big, but they are still VERY good.

I object to the AAC not being included as a "Mid-major".
