Good for X, good for Conor! Definitely congrats to him for putting in hard work and time, and getting a chance! Would love to see some major league guys from the Alma Mater.

I don't think you'll have to wait too much longer on Lowther.

They're listing Grammes as a pitcher - interesting for the D-backs if they're drafting him primarily as a pitcher. For those who haven't been following Xavier baseball, Grammes was also DH on days in which he wasn't a starter this season.

To Go's point, both Zac Lowther and Rylan Bannon are having solid seasons at AA Bowie in the Orioles' organization.

I think it was pretty obvious when he got drafted in the 5th round that it would be as a pitcher. He may be worthy of being selected as a hitter, but he's not elite at the dish. More of a late round guy there.

As for Lowther/Bannon, Bannon is having a solid season. To call Lowther's season solid is way underselling it. Behind Casey Mize, there's no pitcher in the Eastern League having a better season than Zac.

Made me laugh that he came to X as the result of an unsolicited email. You just never know.

Conor finally made his debut yesterday for the Hillsboro Hops and threw a 1-2-3 inning with 2Ks.

Conor Grammes is a champion. He started and went three innings in the rubber match of the Northwest League championship series. His Hillsboro Hops won 3-1.

I guess I may as well update all the disastrous results for Muskies in minor league baseball. Grammes is still in high-A ball for the Hillsboro Hops and is currently on the 60 day injured list. Before going on the list, he was 0-2 with a 7.46 ERA in 25.1 innings. The only sliver of good news is that he struck out 32 batters in those 25.1 innings. The future is not looking too bright for Conor.
