    Women's Tennis

Xavier's women's tennis team is 20-2, undefeated in the Big East regular season, and winner of a school record 18 straight matches. for a great read, see Adam Baum's story in the Cincinnati Enquirer. Link: https://www.cincinnati.com/story/spo...ns/3459643002/.

Interesting in that of all the places they could go for the BE tennis championships, it's outside of Columbia in South Carolina.

Don't the golf tournaments also take place in SC for the Big East?

As for the tennis team, that is a great run to be sure.

Tough loss, 4-3 to DePaul in the conference finals. I get the impression that the 22-3 Muskies won’t be receiving an NCAA Tournament invitation.

I am unfamiliar with the number of teams invited to the NCAA Women's Tourney, especially the number of teams that didn't win their Conference Season or Tourney. A season record of 22-3 is pretty damn impressive!

Looks like 64 teams get in. Big East must be a low, low major in tennis if Xavier can't crack the lineup at 22-3, but we shall see. Apparently the bracket is announced next Monday at 7pm.

The NCAA Tournament field was announced yesterday. The 22-3 Muskies did not make it.
