I feel like if thats the case its more likely a grad transfer than a high school recruit. But who knows.

Good luck to Elias. I’m surprised he stuck around after last year.

As pointed out in another thread, Elias was never a great shooter so that expectation was unfair. He shot mid 30s from 3 in HS so expecting 40%+ was not realistic.

I think he still has good potential and showed some spark on D. He has good length and can be valuable for someone.

Graduate transfer Bryce Moore from Western Michigan is finishing up a visit today. Will also visit Creighton tomorrow and Sunday. Went to Park Tudor High School in Indianapolis. Same HS as Trevon Bluiett. Moore would be a 2 guard. First team all-defense in the MAC. Career 37.6% shooter from 3 including 40.0% his junior year on 160 attempts. Would be a nice role player that could provide shooting and defense without disrupting chemistry or requiring the ball be in his hands to be effective.

Yeah I thought of him when I heard this. Here's hoping he cancels his other visits bc X sold him!

I’m thinking the same thing....does this mean something will happen real soon?

I’d love for X to get a really good defensive guard. Someone that wants to take on the challenge of stopping guards like Howard and Powell, and relishes the thought of stopping them from going off. It’s been quite awhile since X had a player like that at the guard position.

Wish Elias the best! Thought he could’ve had an expanded role next season.

Amazingly, this will be third recruit (out of 5) not work out from Mack’s 2017 class. However the two still here are studs. I know things don’t work out for recruits, but since 2013 (minus the all impressive 2014) X has had more recruits transfer out or never make it to campus than other caliber type schools. This is where I hope Steele improves in our recruitment and this starts with the 2019 class.

Sounds like that could potentially be filled by Moore.

+1 Exactly! This is one reason I stopped following recruiting closely! Half the guys I’m excited about never make it to campus and the other half never pan out.

Am I correct with Harden & Keonte Kennedy transferring X now has two open scholarships? Would love for another grad transfer and a traditional transfer that sits a year, but has two years of eligibility remaining.
