Have to go with Scruggs. Probably the most consistent player in an up and down year. Hope his competitiveness becomes infectious and flows through next year’s team.

Just want to point out (in case ths X players should ever read this thread) that while players had moments where they had hiccups (which is to be expected), every single player (who got enough time in a game at some point) stepped up and showed some greatness.

To that point, just about every one of the first 8 felt in a way like they got a share of an MVP for at least a game this season. That was a pretty cool thing to witness.

Jones was the MVP for X against Texas.

Pumped to see the returning players grow even more.

Happy we had the grad transfers we did.

    Obviously Q.
Leader. 3rd in BE in assists per game. No wins without him.

Larkin made the point in the pregame show that X had 5 players averaging double figures, and that was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it meant that an opponent couldn’t just concentrate on taking away 1-2 players. A curse because it meant that most of the time X needed all the players to have a good game in order to win, and that there wasn’t a “go to” player when X needed a basket to win a game.

Makes it hard to single out one player as the MVP. They were ALL valuable, and somewhat equally.
