Ahhh, blackjack. I love to WATCH blackjack! We were in Vegas during the summer years ago and my wife went down super early to hang by the pool. Wait till 9-10:00am and it’s 108 degrees, removing all the fun from the equation.
I come down a little after 8:00am and head for breakfast. Because it’s Vegas, you have to walk past gambling to get anywhere, and it was no different at Caesars Palace. I stop out of curiousity and watch 2 young ladies, obviously together, and a slightly older guy at the same blackjack table. They all do what makes sense, what the normal person would do in that situation. The women basically break even during the ten or so minutes I’m watching. The guy, making the same basic decisions, loses about $15,000 in ten minutes....before storming off. I’m not sure if he’d been up all night, or just got a bad start to his day....it’s Vegas, so who knows?

Been to March Madness is Vegas twice. Nothing like it.
Excited to see how other places can replicate that to some extent with gambling becoming legal. Vegas will still be a different animal but I would be happy in any sportsbook for March Madness. My dad and his friend have probably been 8ish times. They are going somewhere in jersey this year I think near philly. I know they will have just as much fun as they do otherwise because beer and sports betting is really all they do."I’m willing to sacrifice everything for this team. I’m going to dive for every loose ball, close out harder on every shot, block out for every rebound. I’m going to play harder than I’ve ever played. And I need you all to follow me." -MB '17

Started going to Vegas in the early 90's for March Madness. A lot has changed out there, but it's still a blast. Even spent one weekend with the illustrious MOR watching the Muskies take it to Notre Dame. I also take credit for Xavier beating Georgia - first game of the tourney and I really didn't want to start drinking right off the bat. However, when they went down big early I started drinking and X started coming back. So of course I had to keep drinking. Day ended well for X, not so much for me.
I highly recommend it, though it looks like now that any seat in the main sports books will cost you money. Used to be mainly open seating - first come, first served - but I don't think that's the case anymore in most places.

I am in a March Madness in Vegas fbook group. Everyone on there is always talking about the paid parties and seats etc. We did not pay for any party or seats. We watched at a bar both years inside one of the casinos that was right around corner from the sportsbook. It was free, right next to the bar, and awesome. Can't believe people pay so much for those watch parties etc.

Oh also, the First to 15 bet is the greatest bet in the history of bets. I think I bet every single one, and of course all dogs. Just amazing.

Doing Sweet Sixteen in Vegas this year. Great games and no paying for seats.

That first to 15 is a great bet. Whoever thought that up is a genius.
I think the second weekend would be more fun the older I get. Could play some golf in the morning, watch games where it's not overly crowded. You'll need to let us know what it's like.
The other time I'd like to go would be in November just as basketball is starting up and college football is in full swing.

I used to go to Vegas every year for the Super Bowl. Stayed at the Stardust. Everyone said it was a shit hole. Maybe it was....but I loved it. Was only in my room a few hours a night. Shower and shitter were always fine. You could find $5 black jack late at night/early in the morning. Could always easily find $10 black jack tables. Baccarat pit was only $25 minimum. Got treated like a king. Never had to pay for a meal.
Sports book was equally awesome. Put a $10 bet down, they’d give you multiple drink tickets. My buddies and I called Saturday morning before the Super Bowl (We’d get in Friday afternoon and gamble/drink hard) “Hoops And Poops.” We camp out at the Sports Book at 9 in the morning and place small bets and take turns going to the hotel room to poop and shower. We were crushed by mid afternoon.
Went to Vegas a few years ago. The Bengals/Steelers playoff debacle. Stayed at the Hard Rock. Had fun....but Vegas has changed. To get a drink ticket at sports book, had to place a minimum $300 wager. Cheapest black jack I could find was $50 minimum. I know I could go to Old Vegas...but I was lazy. Hard Rock was a sweet hotel though...

Okay my almost pick did win. I would count that as 1-0 but I'll leave that up to the voting public. My real lock tips off in under an hour. Don't forget people pay big money for tips like these!!! Lol

Well I guess you were due for a letdown after crushing your bookie all season... good news: many games remain!
