In a year we're treading water, we pull a Butler and beat Nova.

Villanova loses two in a row, including their follow up game at Butler.
    Mark it down.

Hey gang, long time. What a crazy year.... Watched a few of your games and seems a lot depends on which X shows up. Seems to me at first blush you have the advantage inside. Nova can get pushed around some and Crosby-Roundtree is hurt (game time decision).

That said many Nova fans, myself included, prefer the smaller lineup with Paschal, Bey and Samuels on the front line. Much quicker and more of a threat offensively. Samuels is finally coming around and showing signs of why he was the highest ranked recruit last year. Bey--the surprise recruit this year. Kid will be a thorn in the side of opponents for several years. EP is a stud. He and Booth are obviously carrying us, but there has been improvement from the supporting cast recently.

Guard wise, Booth has shown he can be the 1st option and has been on a tear. Here's where it gets fun. Want to get a Nova fan going? Quinerly.... FINALLY getting playing time. He seems to be getting the defense, but it took a while. Very good on the ball---super quick, but gets lost in the mix occasionally and then ends up on the bench. Gillespie, to me is serviceable only as a PG. He is better as a 2 IMO. So, how Quinerly continues to develop will be the key to this team's growth. Scruggs will be able to push JQ around IMO, so expect to see Gillespie on him. He is actually a decent defender.

Cremo started strong, but has been a disappointment and Nova faithful aren't seeing a lot there. Super slow on D and came in as a sniper---hasn't hit a 3 since December 3, so....

Swider, who I know you guys had an interest in is still a ways to go. Speed and strength of the game is giving him some trouble, but he has amazing potential and hopefully continues to get more and more time.

Should be fun... hate the game time.
