No way, Marquette wins by double digits.

Hmm......St Johns at home and you think Marq wins by double digits?

I'd take St Johns + 10 at home

Before the season began, I picked St John's to win the league on the basis of their guards. Having watched them a bit, I am less impressed. There seems to be no coherent game strategy...just street ball. That is on Mullen. That said, the talent is there to be a good team. Bottom line for me: crapshoot.

Howard was averaging 25pts a game and SJU has held him to 2-15.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Not sure a world class beat down right before we play them is in our best interests

Nope. They’re gonna be pissed. Of course, we’ve got to get past Seton Hall first.

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

We'll have to play our last 5 minutes of defense (DePaul) for 40 minutes.

Don't kill me for saying this...but the Big East sorta looks like a really good year in the AAC, the A-10 or old Conference USA this year. I was looking at the recent Bracketology, and they're predicting 6 Big East teams to make the Tournament, which is great. But, and this is where the comparison to those leagues comes in, Marquette is currently the highest predicted seed at #5 (this is before yesterday's game). So, a lot of "pretty good" teams but nothing even in the same neighborhood as great.

Obviously, the worst thing about this is that Xavier currently doesn't stand anywhere close to the Bubble even. Plenty of opportunity to get there starting tonight, but I'm not optimistic.
