Yikes!! Shinnecock is slaying some very good golfers today. Leaders in the clubhouse at -1. Koepka at +5, Berger at +6, Bubba and Phil at +7, Spieth at +8, Day and Rory at +9. I like seeing the pros struggle..but dayum. Be interesting to see what Johnson, Thomas, Stenson and Tiger do this afternoon. I was going to bet on Rahm, Rose, and Fleetwood last night but fell asleep. Will probably place some wagers after the cut. What on earth will the cut line be at this rate?

I have Rahm and Leishman. Leishman hasn't been a complete disaster, but it wasn't the first round I was hoping for, obviously.

I went overboard and took Rose (14-1), Sergio (50-1), Noren (50-1), and Poulter (80-1) though I have no feel whatsoever for this week. It looks tough out there.

I wouldn't mind having some 80-1 Poulter money right now.

Yea he’s down to +1600 now. I wasn’t even going to consider him but a friend of mine at the open told me he liked him this week. Hot tip alert!

First tournament world wide that Woods, Speith, and McIlroy all missed the cut. Wow.

As of this morning DJ is at -140 to win. He looks dialed in...however there’s a lot of golf to play. Piercy (40-1) is intriguing. As is Fleetwood (18-1)

And then......
Should Phil get the DQ? I lean towards yes, but I cheat at golf every time. (This warning is how I get people to not try to gamble with me on the course.) The technicality of those rules are beyond me.....but if he’s in contention I think that gets even more scrutiny. That ball might roll 50 feet, or into a lake. It wasn’t a ball that rocked as his putting stroke began.
