Well, the game against Nova for next Saturday has been postponed due to COVID in their program.

It's not in the Big East bylaws to allow Xavier to host them first.
But in all seriousness, hope they get well soon.

Could Xavier take that Saturday game and make up the games that they missed?

As of now, the only team with an open date on Jan 2 is UConn. When the NFL had games cancelled, there were massive amounts of shuffling games to be able to get everything in. I'm not sure if the Big East would want to try that hard and move up one of the UConn games to create open dates later in the season.

This won't be our last interruption. I'm surprised they don't try to fill that date with SOME BE team, since we'll probably need make up space later in the season.
