Hard for me to find a downside here. Both conferences stay in line with the "20 conference games" that ACC/B1G/etc. are going to without having to add additional conference members.

They wouldn't be 20 conference games, they would be 20 "high major" games (18 in conference, the one they play with the SEC, and the one with the Big East), but I believe that is what you were referring to.

Yup, it would be perfect for us really. They've been the best conference last 2 years if I'm not mistaken, it seems like all of them are pretty damn solid, wouldn't see how it could end poorly for us, we'd get a Texas, Kansas, WVU, etc. someone in the top 4 of the Big 12, which would be an awesome challenge.

Big East-Big 12 scheduling agreement?
Villinova site is speculating that there could soon be an agreement between the two conferences. The site comments that with the larger conferences moving toward a 20 game conference schedule, it makes sense for the two smallest of the major conferences to work together and insure thst both could keep their current round robin conference schedule AND still insure quality opponents for the OOC portion of the schedule.
Works for me!
