Dayton to Big East rumors heat up

In a semi informal meeting of Big East ADs, the topic of adding the University of Dayton Flyers was discussed. Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman, in an in depth article in Mad magazine was quoted as saying, "With the emergence of St John's in basketball, our other member schools have requested adding the Flyers as a "night off game". UD Athletic Director, Al E. Newman, could not be reached for comment.
