Yes, and its a damn shame. Even if their program is reeling.

Yea the Utah game was bought out. Let's hope Mario sticks around, because we have a ton of games to fill.

Isn't the Skip Prosser Classic back on this year?

    Edit. No. Not until 2019-2020.

To fill in the gap, Xavier has contracted with Patrick Ewing to prepare our out of conference schedule for next year!

There is a team in Dayton that isn't reeling. Wright State won 26 games after an 0-3 start and has six of their top seven players back.

I say put Wright State on the schedule just to needle Dayton.
Coaches don't make Xavier, Xavier makes coaches.

Needling Dayton may be a bonus, but Wright State is looking like they'll be the better team next year. Perhaps for the next two or three years.

Why is this a shame? What would playing them bring to the table? First they would never agree unless we did a Home and away with them. The last place I ever want to play is there. Secondly they are average at best so we are expected to win. A loss would be a bad loss in a lesser conference. I would much rather we play a middle of the road say SEC team than a Dayton.

I’m not disagreeing with you but That’s the exact argument UC had for a long time.

Wright State is available. A 26 win team that made the NCAA Tournament, beat every team in their league, beat all but one of them away from home, and returns six of their top seven players.
