Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. I really need to upgrade my seat for tomorrow. But I’ll travel to a bar if there is one.

Correct. Alcohol is not allowed to be sold at NCAA events. There were bars set up outside the arena where you could buy beer but you had to consume it outside too.

They just stamped your hand at the lower level bar. Once you finished your drink you could come back in. Also the suites all had beer (some behind 118 were handing drinks over the rails to X fans)

I assure you that I was drinking beer (24 ounce Miller Lites for $12) after the Friday night X game at the Section 210 bar. You just couldn't take your beer out of the bar. (And that bar was a great place to watch the Virginia-UMBC game.)

I also should add as to the venue- terrible floor that kept getting wet, and there were no scoreboard stats available other than individual fouls and points.

24 oz Miller Lites for $12 should be a federal crime.

It's weird how this thread devolved into a discussion of alcohol availability when the related worry of the original post - that our game would be impacted by ice under the floor - may well have come to fruition with Tre slipping late in the game.

Yes- Indeed it is weird that the ice concern pointed out by the OP may have been the ultimate reason for the loss... wasn't that the turnover that resulted in FSU making a 3?

To that point, I don't get why a team whose player slips on water (that shouldn't be there) and loses the ball isn't automatically awarded the ball again. It's not the player's fault that the water was there. The ref should be constantly checking to make sure the melting ice beneath isn't seeping up through the floor and making sure someone goes over it every time there is a whistle.

Seems to me those willing to pay $12 for 24 0z Miller Lites are willing to pay for the demand. Law 101 - Supply and Demand
