Last night, the refs taught me that as a defender, it's your fault if your face gets in the way of the opposing player's hand.

To paraphrase Bob Knight, I was worried until I remembered that Steve Alford was coaching UCLA.

How long has Schmidt been there now? Seems like a while.
When Skip left for Wake Schmidty took head coach job at Robert Morris (2001-02) & moved on to SBU 2007-08 taking over when Jim Barron went to URI. Jeff Massey had been on staff. Mark was very disappointed he did not receive consideration from XU when Sean was hired & to certain extent when Chris was hired. He & Chris are freinds. Mark secretly covets the job at BC.

There was at least one guy between Baron and Schmidt at SBU. The guy who got them nicknamed Olean Welding.

That would be Jan Van Breda Koff

Anthony Solomon had to clean up the mess after Van Breda Kolff; once he was fired, that opened the door for Schmidt to take the St. Bona job.

    Rooting for Syracuse?@##!!!!

Man, I really couldn't imagine a scenario where I'd be rooting for Syracuse. Never have really liked them...hate how often they've made it in the last few years when they probably shouldn't have. Watching this game with Arizona State...GO ORANGE!!!

This is threatening the Dayton-DePaul game for most unwatchable NCAA Tournament game. I'm getting sleepy and might not make it to the end of this game.
