    Green Line.

Catch it in the loop on the elevated structure.

Take it to Cermak / McCormick Place.

Walk EAST on Cermak about three blocks.

    Done.
    Warmly,

Dang 11 AM games really kill the pregame. Might check out The Spoke & Bird for some breakfast and some early morning brews. Opens at 8 AM and looks to be a 5 minute walk from Wintrust.

There isn't an official pre game, but the University and Alumni Chapter are putting together a couple of events around the weekend. In addition to the Greg Christopher event there is also a Faith & Justice event on Thursday evening with Greg Carpinello. More details for both of these can be found at X on the Road.

After the game, the Alumni Chapter is holding an afterparty at Motor Row Brewing, which is about a 5 minute walk from Wintrust. They don't serve food, but will allow you to bring in anything you'd like.

    Thanks XUPUCK10 for the info.

... and then after MBB takes on DePaul and then after a bit of beverages ...

It's the WBB Big East Tournament. Xavier will play either at 4 or 6:30. No question it's been a rough season, but they recently took on one of the league's top, DePaul, and lost by a point 73-72. Also, attending this would be a great way to support the Big East. If you buy a WBB ticket book through Xavier, I think you get a Musketeer point.

All Day Xavier basketball in Chicago. Could be worse.

Spoke and Bird is also a good choice. A bit pricey for what you get, relatively limited seating in winter months, but a nice cafe nonetheless. Four blocks down from WinTrust on Indiana (I live in the neighborhood).

This “oh, this would be fun” game might end up being really quite important. Bring your friends!
